Dr. Jacob B\u00f6hringer defends and represents German and international companies, their employees and private individuals in criminal investigations and administrative fine proceedings. Dr. B\u00f6hringer also represents companies damaged by criminal acts in protecting their interests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, Dr. B\u00f6hringer has extensive experience in organizing and conducting internal investigations as well as in introducing, maintaining and reviewing compliance management systems, particularly in the areas of anti-corruption and money laundering prevention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Career<\/strong>

Dr. B\u00f6hringer studied law at the University of Augsburg, specializing in commercial criminal law, international and European criminal law and criminal procedure law.
For his doctorate, Dr. B\u00f6hringer moved to the Justus Liebig University in Giessen, where he worked as a research assistant at the Chair of German, European and International Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure, Commercial Criminal Law and Environmental Criminal Law (Prof. Thomas Rotsch). Dr. B\u00f6hringer received his doctorate on the subject of “Negligent complicity – on the relationship between attribution and participation in intentional and negligent offences”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. B\u00f6hringer completed his legal clerkship in the Higher Regional Court of Munich and subsequently worked as a lawyer at the law firm Noerr Partnergesellschaft mbH in Munich from January 2019 to August 2022, focusing on commercial criminal law, criminal tax law and compliance and internal investigation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since 01.09.2022 Dr. B\u00f6hringer has worked for law firm Eckstein & Kollegen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
